While school is out, many families are living without the stability of school lunches for their children.
But summer break shouldn’t be a time of hunger.
That’s why on June 10, companies, families, and volunteers in Raleigh, North Carolina, joined together to make an impact — packing 2,000 grocery bags for local children facing food insecurity.

In partnership with Convoy of Hope, Vontier, a global industrial technology company, hosted this event to help neighbors in the areas surrounding their Raleigh headquarters.
With the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Foundation’s Neighborhood Nourish program, the event marked the beginning of a summer committed to feeding local children in need.
Convoy of Hope’s team worked alongside Vontier employees, members of the NACS Foundation, community volunteers, and family and friends to fill meal bags with 10,000 pounds of food. Keurig Dr. Pepper Inc. also donated 2,000 units of Mott’s applesauce.
Each bag contained a variety of nutritious items, including pantry staples such as mac and cheese, oatmeal, and spaghetti, as well as fruit cups, canned vegetables, and other nonperishable meals and snacks.

“We’re proud to work alongside the NACS Foundation’s Neighborhood Nourish and Convoy of Hope to combat food insecurity,” said Mark Morelli, CEO of Vontier.
“Because of these organizations’ generosity and commitment to their community, Convoy of Hope was able to include this additional site in our Children’s Summer Feeding Initiative and support kids who are facing hunger,” said Ron Showers, Vice President of Church Engagement at Convoy of Hope.
The impact of one day of kindness will last all summer long.
