Historic Flooding Across Eastern Indiana — Convoy Is Responding

Communities across eastern Indiana are experiencing historic flooding from the Whitewater River after six days of unyielding rainfall.
This week’s heavy storms left Indiana families coping with damaged homes, lost vehicles and belongings, and at least one storm-related death. When as many as 10 inches of rain fell within the last 24 hours, the situation became even more dangerous.
The state’s governor declared a disaster emergency. The National Weather Service issued Flash Flood emergencies for multiple counties. Families closest to the rapidly rising floodwaters are evacuating. Their neighborhoods are submerged. Emergency responders are searching for survivors — anyone who may be trapped.
Convoy of Hope is sending much-needed supplies in this critical time: shelf-stable food and water for families, kits of cleanup supplies, and other essential items.
