In March, Convoy of Hope honored The J.M. Smucker Co. with the 2025 Global Impact Award for their decade-long partnership and support.
Employees were honored at The J.M. Smucker Co. and Hostess production facility in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, with the award recognizing their steadfast commitment to Convoy’s mission. In 2025 alone, they donated hundreds of semi-loads of products to our work, and the Hostess brand has partnered with us since 2016.
“The J.M. Smucker team are great people who care and operate with excellence,” said Convoy’s Ethan Forhetz, VP of Public Engagement. “They are faithful to provide truckloads of items that people know and love. They have a true desire to help meet the needs of the hurting, and we are pleased to honor them for their commitment.”
Convoy receives multiple loads from the company every week, getting ready-to-eat food items that are used across our programs, whether distributing to partner organizations, community events, or disasters.
Our disaster response team sees the comfort a Hostess product can bring in the midst of uncertainty.
“Being able to distribute Hostess products after a disaster is one of the most meaningful things we have the opportunity to do,” said Convoy’s Eric Gordon. “For individuals and families who have been impacted and are just beginning their recovery journey, Hostess represents comfort and familiarity during an incredibly uncertain time. In fact, it is often one of the first items our partners request and begin distributing upon arrival.”
Convoy is grateful for companies like The J.M. Smucker Co. who give generously and selflessly to those in need.
