Convoy of Hope Partners With MSCA To Feed More Than 120,000 in Orange County
Convoy of Hope recently delivered food and supplies to Costa Mesa, California, based Share Our Selves (SOS) for distribution to the hungry and homeless of Orange County.
Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) employees and volunteers received and processed the delivery on behalf of SOS. MSCA employees and volunteers filled bags with food that will be distributed at the SOS Food Pantry, assembled hygiene kits and wrote messages of hope to those receiving assistance.
βWe are thrilled to partner with Convoy of Hope and MSCA,β says Vanessa Ontiveros, Facilities Manager for SOS. βTheir support, hard work and generous donation of grocery items will help SOS provide food and assistance to an average of 275 individuals a day. As we prepare for the increased demand during the holiday season, we are most appreciative of this tremendous donation.β
MSCA was in the Orange County area for their 2014 Annual Conference. Convoy of Hope shipped the tractor-trailer load of supplies from its World Distribution Center, and United Rentals donated a forklift to assist with the event.
