Community Event in Wichita, Kansas
Convoy of Hope events were conducted at 10 locations in Wichita, Kansas, last weekend. More than 14,000 people received food and school supplies to carry them into the new school year. At Bethel Life Center, attendees were provided with groceries, backpacks, haircuts, community resources, a job fair, health screenings, and more.
At Colvin Elementary, the site was set up like a block party with groceries, backpacks, and inflatables.
Itβs Back to School for Springfield Public Schools
Last weekend, Convoy of Hope participated in Springfield Public Schoolsβ Back to School Bash. Nearly 4,500 people came to receive supplies for the new school year. 6,000 backpacks were distributed to ensure every student in need received a bag.
Two of Convoyβs partners β Bombas Socks and Plum Organics β provided students and families with socks and groceries. Students not only received backpacks, but left with them filled to the brim with supplies and food.
Incredible Pizza & Convoy of Hope Give Back in San Antonio
Last week, Convoy of Hope partnered with Incredible Pizza Company to supply groceries, haircuts, and family portraits to residents of San Antonio, Texas. The employees of Incredible Pizzaβs Springfield, Missouri, location volunteered at Hands of Hope to pack bags of groceries at Convoyβs World Distribution Center. The goods were then packed on a Convoy truck and sent to Incredible Pizzaβs San Antonio location to be distributed.
More than 500 people came to the event and received groceries and services to lift a burden off of their shoulders during the back-to-school season.
