Convoy’s Home Run Weekend With the Joliet Slammers and InspireCIO
Convoy’s Grand Slam With the Joliet Slammers
Last weekend, Convoy of Hope teamed up with the Joliet Slammers in Illinois to share Convoy’s mission to more than 9,000 fans in attendance. Convoy even got to throw the first pitch of the night!
Fans from the crowd got to come down to the field and participate in a grocery-packing relay race. For the legendary T-shirt toss, Convoy of Hope shirts were launched into the stands.
“It was such a great partnership,” said Convoy Nation’s Breanne Schlereth. “When almost 10,000 people can hear about Convoy, have a lot of fun, and learn about spreading kindness and hope to others, I’d call that a win!”
Empowered Women Empower Women
Yesterday, the InspireCIO conference in Boston featured Convoy’s global Women’s Empowerment program. InspireCIO is a leadership network that connects chief information officers from multimillion dollar companies together.
More than 50 women CIOs learned more about how Convoy empowers women and girls across the globe and helps them reach their full potential.
“We were so inspired by the passion in the room to empower more women everywhere,” said Convoy Nation’s Steve Bertrand.
