Convoy Responds to Severe Weather in Tallahassee, Florida

USA Reported by Convoy of Hope

May 10, 2024 | 11:42 a.m.

Convoy of Hope is responding to the severe weather system moving across Florida. Sheets of rain, heavy winds, and a likely tornado swept through Tallahassee this morning while commuters and students made their way to work and school.

As of this morning, more than 65% of Leon County, Florida, is without power. Another round of potential severe weather is moving into the region today. Even if it only produces heavy rain, the system will exacerbate the damage left by storms this morning.

A load of tarps, hygiene items, food, sports drinks, and water is leaving Convoy’s World Distribution Center today. This is Convoy’s 750th disaster response since 1998.
