Natalia Discovered Her Desire To Help Others

Moldova Reported by Convoy of Hope

Ten-year-old Natalia attends the Convoy of Hope Girls’ Empowerment group in a small village in Moldova and looks forward to it every time. After their long days at school, Natalia and her twin sister join the others at their program center to work on their homework and to play together.

Throughout Natalia’s regular attendance, our partners at the program have seen a beautiful drive in her to help others. She has always been a diligent student, and she frequently assists the other children with their homework. Being able to help others learn has boosted Natalia’s self-confidence and also helped her recognize her own success and growth in school.

Convoy of Hope Girls’ Empowerment groups are a safe place for children like Natalia to discover their love for learning and serving others. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, there is excitement in the air because these days are Girls’ Empowerment days! The children are thrilled to bring their homework from school and work together. Everyone who attends knows they will receive help and warm acceptance.

The support from Convoy’s partners in Moldova pushes these children forward in incredible ways. And because of our Girls’ Empowerment groups investing in their lives, the children are learning the importance of that support and are offering support and help to others.

Convoy of Hope and our partners around the world are seeing this inspiring power of kindness in the lives of more and more children like Natalia — imagine what could happen if every 10-year-old was given the chance she has been given. “I like that we play and study here,” Natalia said. “I don’t know what I want to do in the future, but I think I should continue to study hard and help others. I really love to help others.”
