Convoy Responds to Devastating Iowa Storms

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA — Packing the force of a Category 2 hurricane, the derecho that struck Iowa on Monday caused heavy damage to homes, power lines, and businesses. The unexpected storm unleashed winds of more than 100 miles per hour, knocking over trees and blocking roads throughout the area.

Convoy of Hope is responding to the devastating derecho storm that impacted Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and the surrounding areas. Disaster Services team members left early this morning with multiple vehicles loaded with food, water, and relief supplies. In the coming days, Convoy will be delivering meals and additional relief supplies to those affected by this devastating storm.

Hope is being delivered to flood survivors in Texas with distributions taking place today in San Saba and surrounding communities.
