SPRINGFIELD, MO — As flood waters in Missouri have given way to homes with extensive water and mud damage, we’ve continued to coordinate with the state Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and are organizing assessments and teams to complete assigned cleanup jobs in hard-hit Waynesville, Missouri.

“We’ve sent supplies including trash bags, gloves, masks, MREs and other items that are being routed by EMA for distribution,” says Karen Benson, Director of Disaster Response. “We’re working with state officials in whatever way we can to help those who’ve had property damage.”

SPRINGFIELD, MO — As major flooding continues to inundate small communities in the Missouri Ozarks, Convoy of Hope has sent assessment crews to hard-hit areas to survey damage and determine how we can be of help to flood survivors.

We’re partnering closely with The Missouri State Emergency Management Agency to serve as an Emergency Human Services (EHS) Support Team, designed to mobilize county leaders and resources to assist citizens affected by flooding to begin planning for recovery efforts.

Convoy of Hope Disaster Services team members depart for an emergency management meeting early Friday morning (8/09/13.)
