Wildfires are spreading rapidly across southern Georgia. Historic drought conditions, strong winds, and fallen tree limbs left behind by Hurricane Helene have only strengthened the power of the fires. Since April 18, the fire has consumed homes and property across several counties.  In Brantley County, more than 5,000 acres have burned, with 47 homes lost. In Clinch County, over 16,000 acres have burned.

And it is still spreading.

Families are evacuating, and many are in a state of confusion and fear. Because of the speed of these wildfires, many were forced to leave the area before they could find out whether their homes, animals, and belongings were safe.

Convoy of Hope is responding.

Our team members have deployed to the region with essential supplies for displaced families and first responders. By meeting immediate needs with water, food, sports drinks, hygiene kits, and other practical items, we can deliver hope.
