Convoy of Hope Responds to Cyclone Ana in Fiji

Fiji Reported by Convoy of Hope
Cyclone Ana

February 9, 2021 | 12:15 p.m.

Convoy of Hope is currently responding to Tropical Cyclone Ana after it struck the islands of Fiji. The storm was one of three tropical cyclones to hit the island nation at the end of January and came slightly more than a month after Category 5 Cyclone Yasa tore through the country’s northern islands.

The most populated regions of Fiji have experienced major flooding and widespread damage to buildings, crops, and public infrastructure.

Partners in the region who worked with Convoy of Hope to respond to Cyclone Yasa have now turned their efforts to Ana. Simultaneously, Convoy is helping in-country partners acquire food, lanterns, tarps, and other essential relief items for more than 10,000 people who are displaced.
