More than 26,000 pounds of emergency relief supplies have been distributed in response to the wildfires in Southern California. To date, 1,570 survivors have received assistance. Cities served include Ventura, Santa Paula, Oxnard, Fillmore, Sunland, Tijunga, Ojai, Casitas Springs, and Minor Oak.

The first truckload of supplies arrived in California. Some of the supplies were unloaded at a local church tonight and the additional supplies will be delivered tomorrow.

Convoy of Hope is responding to wildfires that have wreaked havoc across Southern California. So far, approximately 150,000 acres have burned and the fires continue to spread, affecting tens of thousands of residents. Convoy has a tractor-trailer load of emergency relief supplies that will deploy later today with food, water, and hygiene items.
“Our team will work with local partners in the area to aid evacuees,” says Stacy Lamb, U.S. Response Director for Disaster Services. “They will also determine what additional resources are needed in the coming days.”
