Luke Ridnour Demonstrates Compassion

Reported by Convoy of Hope

Luke Ridnour is most well-known for his success in the NBA. Before he retired, he played as a point guard for the Orlando Magic, Seattle Supersonics, and Minnesota Timberwolves. However, on Saturday, he inspired close to 1,000 Lynden, Washington, residents in a different way: partnering with Convoy of Hope for an event to serve the community.

The Pro-Series Community Event took place in partnership with Ridnour Athletic Courts, the Rid’s Kids Foundation, and Convoy Nation™. Throughout the event, volunteers provided 1,500 bags of groceries, 700 backpacks full of school supplies, 800 pairs of shoes, 2,500 pairs of socks, 700 hot meals, 800 servings of ice cream, and 500 basketballs. People also received haircuts, hygiene kits, and other essentials.

“We’re having a great time. It’s been amazing,” Luke Ridnour said while serving at the event.

Thank you to our partners and supporters who make events like this possible.
