Convoy of Hope’s Women’s Empowerment program in Ethiopia is providing the tools and resources that women need to provide for their families.
Our Women’s Empowerment Program in Ethiopia is providing 2,000 women in this Sub-Saharan African country theoretical and practical training, as well as start up capital, to engage in small businesses. This woman started a restaurant just three months ago serving coffee, tea and warm meals to patrons. Her business is thriving. Assefu was hired by women who graduated our program and have started what is now a successful restaurant in Addis Ababa. Because of their success in the restaurant business, they’ve been able to provide employment opportunities for other women like Assefu, who are living in poverty.
