Generosity took center stage at Convoy of Hope’s International Women’s Day celebration, with women gathering from all corners of the world to make a difference.
The U.S. event, held every year at Convoy’s Global Headquarters, is an opportunity for women to support women in many different ways. Convoy team members shared about Women’s Empowerment programming, and attendees also enjoyed browsing merch, networked during a small plate social, packed hygiene kits, and made lasting memories with friends.
This year’s speakers included philanthropist and entrepreneur Kathy Ireland and Grammy award-winning artist Hillary Scott, lead singer of Lady A. Attendees packed a record-breaking 10,000 hygiene kits that will go to women and girls around the world.
Convoy teams from across the globe also celebrated International Women’s Day. In Australia, events were held in Katherine and Darwin, Northern Territory, and staff hosted a clothing drive in Queensland to help support women who have experienced domestic abuse. In Slovakia, hundreds of women gathered to enjoy time in community and learn about how Convoy is empowering women in Europe.
