Spain is facing its most devastating wildfire season in decades, with fires burning nearly 1 million acres of land — much of it in Galicia, Castile and León, and Extremadura. Four lives have been lost, including a firefighter’s, and more than 31,000 people have evacuated their homes.

Convoy of Hope is on the ground, partnering with local organizations to deliver vital relief. Families are receiving food kits packed with essentials like rice, pasta, lentils, canned goods, milk, cooking oil, and beans. Hygiene kits are also being distributed to help protect health and preserve dignity.

Many survivors remain displaced, while others are returning to a very different reality in their homes and communities. Convoy is helping them take the first steps toward recovery.
