As a part of Combilift’s 25th anniversary celebrations, the Irish materials handling specialist announced that it is donating its 75,000th truck — an Aisle Master articulated forklift — to Convoy of Hope. Combilift is the largest global manufacturer of multi-directional forklifts and an acknowledged leader in long-load handling solutions.

“The work that Convoy of Hope does is invaluable to relieve suffering around the world,” said Combilift’s CEO and Co-Founder Martin McVicar. “We wanted to make our own contribution by donating our 75,000th truck to this very worthwhile charity.”

“The Aisle Masters have been a huge contributor in our exponential growth because they allow us to get more loads in and out faster,” said Convoy’s Jeff Smethers. “And thanks to Cobilift’s free warehouse layout service and the Aisle Master’s narrow aisle capability, we have achieved the best possible storage density and a very efficient operation.”

Convoy uses forklifts to handle the thousands of pallets of relief supplies stored in the World Distribution Center every day. Since its start in 1994, Convoy has seen a consistent increase in demand for operational expansion and has increased warehouse capacity to accommodate the volume of supplies that are stored.

“We are so grateful that Combilift, Martin, and the whole team have actually given us one of these trucks for our operations,” said Convoy’s Vice President of Supply Chain Erick Meier. “This is going to help people for years and ensure that every day someone in the world will receive aid — and that brings hope.”
