Join us for lunch and a time of celebration in honor of International Women’s Day! Learn about Convoy of Hope’s Women’s Empowerment initiative and how you can empower women and girls around the world.

Simon Majumdar | Celebrity Chef

With a unique perspective on the importance of nutrition and the fight against hunger, Chef Simon Majumdar is a mainstay on the Food Network, appearing in numerous episodes of hit shows, including Iron Chef and Cutthroat Kitchen.

Simon and his wife, Sybil, recently traveled to Tanzania with Convoy of Hope and have been inspired to leverage their influence and talents to help advance our mission.

Vice President – Convoy:Women

Doree travels extensively, rallying the support of women across America to bring help and hope to families in need. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music education at Evangel University and her master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in piano performance. She served as a professor at Evangel University for 19 years before joining Convoy of Hope, which she and her husband founded in 1994. Doree and her husband, Hal, have four daughters: Lindsay, Erin-Rae, Lauren, and Haly.
