Convoy of Hope Responds to Deadly Flooding Across Central Texas

SPRINGFIELD, MO (July 17, 2026) – Convoy of Hope is responding to catastrophic flooding across Central Texas after days of heavy rainfall caused the Guadalupe and Pedernales rivers to surge, forcing evacuations, damaging homes, and threatening millions of residents.

At least two people were killed and flash flood warnings remain in effect for approximately six million people as rapidly rising waters continue to impact communities throughout the region. Some communities are under mandatory evacuation orders, while others continue monitoring rising water levels as conditions change. At one point, floodwaters rose more than 30 feet in a matter of hours, prompting the National Weather Service to warn of “large and deadly flood waves.”

Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Relief team is serving affected communities by delivering food, bottled water, and essential cleanup supplies to families impacted by the flooding. The organization is working with local partners to provide critical relief as emergency crews continue rescue and recovery efforts.

As our teams arrived in Kerrville, they were heartbroken to see floodwaters once again impacting many of the same areas devastated just last year. Our commitment to this region has never wavered. We are still helping families recover from last year’s floods, and we remain equally committed to standing alongside them through this latest disaster,” said Stacy Lamb, Vice President of Disaster Relief for Convoy of Hope.
