Convoy of Hope Honors State Farm® with 2023 Leadership Award

SPRINGFIELD, MO — WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3 — This week, Convoy of Hope presented State Farm with the 2023 Leadership Award for their outstanding collaboration. In addition, State Farm team members met at Convoy’s World Distribution Center to pack 558 flood recovery buckets that will be distributed in future disaster responses.

In 2023, State Farm donated nearly $500,000 to support Convoy’s multiple disaster preparedness and response efforts. Included in this total was $50,000 designated for Convoy’s Hurricane Idalia response and $100,000 for the Maui wildfire. A portion of the donation was used to purchase hygiene kit materials, used to pack 15,400 kits.

Convoy of Hope collaborated with State Farm to host 21 packing events across the United States, in 2023. State Farm demonstrates what it means to be a good neighbor by helping people rebuild their lives and empowering employees and associates to support communities through volunteerism. 

Since the start of Convoy’s disaster service efforts in 1996, the team has responded to more than 700 disasters domestically and internationally.
