Convoy of Hope and Chick-fil-A Mobilize to Deliver 10,000 Hot Meals and Critical Relief to Winter Storm Fern Survivors
SPRINGFIELD, MO (February 2, 2026) — Convoy of Hope is partnering with Chick-fil-A to provide hot meals and critical relief supplies to communities impacted by Winter Storm Fern, which left families across the Southern United States facing freezing temperatures and extended power outages.
The storm created dangerous conditions for thousands of residents as ice damaged infrastructure, disrupted electricity and left many families without the ability to heat their homes or prepare meals. Convoy of Hope Disaster Relief teams mobilized alongside local partners to bring immediate assistance to communities facing urgent needs.
Through the partnership, Chick-fil-A deployed its Mobile Kitchen to prepare thousands of hot meals each day. Convoy of Hope is distributing these meals through local churches and community organizations in hard-hit areas, including northern Mississippi.
“Convoy of Hope is pleased to partner with Chick-fil-A to provide hot meals to families affected by this winter storm,” said Ethan Forhetz, Vice President of Public Engagement for Convoy of Hope. “During times of crisis, a warm meal can provide comfort and encouragement to people who are walking through difficult circumstances. These meals are a reminder that they are not alone.”
In addition to meal distribution, Convoy of Hope is providing essential resources to families impacted by the storm, including shelf-stable food, groceries, bottled water, generators, propane tanks and blankets. Teams are working through local partnerships to ensure supplies reach communities where they are needed most.
As recovery efforts continue, Convoy of Hope remains committed to serving families affected by Winter Storm Fern and bringing help and hope to communities facing hardship.
